Sometimes God uses one small problem to change the entire direction of our lives.

Years ago, my daughter struggled with a recurring diaper rash that just would not go away. We tried prescription after prescription, but the rash continued to return.

Then I discovered calendula.

I made my very first herbal salve, hoping it might offer her some gentle support. We were encouraged by the changes we saw in her skin, and that little jar changed everything.

It sparked an idea that became Savvy Bee Salves LLC. What began as creating products for my own family grew into sharing them with others who were also looking for gentle, plant-based support.

But the more I learned, the more I realized something important:

People did not always need another product. They needed someone who would take the time to listen, look at the whole picture, and help them better understand the patterns affecting their well-being.

That realization led me back to school to study clinical herbalism. Over the years, I studied herbal traditions, individualized assessment, body systems, and Chinese medicine principles, including the ways digestion, energy, circulation, emotions, and the organ systems can influence one another.

Chinese medicine especially helped me understand the importance of looking beyond a single symptom and considering the whole person—their history, constitution, daily patterns, and current season of life.

Today, after 17 years working in diagnostic medical imaging and years of clinical herbal training, I bring my healthcare experience, careful observation, and whole-person perspective to my work at Leaf & Sol Herbal Clinic.

Looking back, it is amazing to think that one stubborn diaper rash became the beginning of a journey I never could have planned.

I am so thankful that God used that moment to lead me exactly where I was meant to be.
